The right stuff

Like most quilters, I have lots and lots of tools.  No, I'm not talking about the ones in this photo.  Those were a Christmas gift this year.  When you ask your mechanic husband for pink tools, expect to get every one he could possibly find, two sets complete with carry bags, a pink tool box, and a pink cordless drill with a variety of bits.  (No longer will one of HER tools end up in the garage with HIS tools where she can't find it!)

We quilters love our specialty tools (and rulers) as much as mechanics love theirs... well, maybe not quite as much, but close!

So, why in the world did I wait so long to try these Clover Wonder Clips to bind my quilts?

You can see it on the left next to the old fashioned type that I've used forever.  I love that I can leave the new ones in place until I stitch past where it's holding the fabric.  Don't you just feel like doing a Snoopy happy dance when you try something new and are surprised at how well it works?

As my husband would say, you really do need to have the right tool for the job!
