Love potion #9

One of the members of the Stashbuster's group does a random UFO number draw each month. The idea is to make a numbered list of your UFO's and when the number is drawn each month, you pull that project to work on.  It's fun and challenging!

I listed the 12 UFO's that either need the most work or, I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to finish the quilt following the original pattern. They're also the ones I'd still be procrastinating on without a little push.

This one, #9 on my 2021 Quilt Goals, is a good example.  It's hand appliqued which is a lot of work on it's own but, I also think it needs to be hand quilted.  That means it will take several months to finish.  It's a good thing the number got pulled in January so at least I have a fighting chance of getting it done this year.

Because it's #9 on the list, and the red & white reminds me of Valentine's Day.. I'm calling this one "Love Potion #9" after a song that was really popular in the 1960's.
