I've been making mats by crocheting plastic shopping bags for the last 2 years. Each mat takes about 60 to 80 hours to make and uses about 400 bags.
The last set was dropped off at a local homeless outreach center "The Lord's Place" yesterday. I'm going to stop making them for a while so I can concentrate on finishing more quilts. I'd like to be able to donate some of those to the center too. There is so much need.
I'd really like to donate some time to help others too but, that will have to wait until this pandemic is under control.
