January reckoning

January was a pretty productive month.  I completed 6 quilts and made 48 string blocks. 

I have a quilt idea in mind for the string blocks that requires 64 blocks so I have a few more to make before I can put the top together.

There should be quite a few finishes the first part of the year because I plan to knock out the UFO's that need the least amount of work first.  Things will slow down quite a bit after that.   

I often make quilts inspired by a current event.  Stay tuned for the one I have planned for February 8th.  Luckily it doesn't require a lot of piecing so I should be able to complete it this week while I work a little each night binding the two denim UFO's.
